FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement of mechanical properties of steels, mainly in products from rolled steel, with the possibility of determining the conditional yield strength, tensile strength and critical temperature of brittleness of steel taking into account anisotropy of properties characteristic of rolled steel in longitudinal and transverse directions relative to direction of rolling. Method includes preparation of thin section, measurement of characteristics of steel microstructure, measurement of steel hardness, determination of steel composition, calculation of mechanical properties. Measurement of characteristics of steel microstructure is carried out taking into account the direction of steel rolling, including determination of effective size of ferrite grain along and across the direction of rolling and determination of volume fraction of pearlite content along and across the direction of rolling. At that calculation of value of mechanical properties of steel is carried out for determination of conditional yield strength, temporary resistance to break and critical temperature of brittleness, determined along and across direction of rolling.
EFFECT: improving accuracy and reliability of results of determining mechanical properties of rolled products from low-carbon steels relative to standard values of mechanical properties specified in standards, taking into account rolling direction.
