FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of producing an antiwear additive for jet fuel, which includes steps of: obtaining an active component of the antiwear additive, for which: mixing the fatty acid with a solid catalyst, which is taken in amount of 5-15 wt.% of the amount of the fatty acid; fatty acid is dimerised at temperature from 200 to 300 °C for 5-20 hours; spent solid catalyst is removed; obtaining an antiwear additive for jet fuel by mixing the obtained active component of the antiwear additive and a solvent of the active component in a weight ratio of the active component to the solvent of the active component of [1-1.5]:1, also relates to an antiwear additive for jet fuel obtained using said method, containing an active component based on a fatty acid dimer, and the active component solvent in a weight ratio of the active component to the active component solvent of [1-1.5]:1.

EFFECT: present invention reduces labour intensity of the method of producing the antiwear additive for jet fuel, with concomitant improvement of its lubricating properties.
