FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to aerodynamics, aircraft engineering, and may be used on aircraft to improve aerodynamic characteristics when using a biplane wing. Biplane wing consists of lower and upper planes with tips connected by end power washers. Said planes have a fixed relative position relative to each other. At that, lower plane has profile with relative thickness (17-21 %) and curvature of its middle line of about 4 % at 35-40 % of its average aerodynamic chord, and the upper plane has a profile, the chord of which is approximately two times less than the chord of the lower plane, and the angle between the lines of chords of the upper and lower wings is about -6°...-8°. Lower surface of the upper plane and the upper surface of the lower plane form a narrowing channel between each other, in which the distance between the planes is selected based on the condition of absence of interaction of their boundary layers. Upper plane is moved forward relative to the lower one so that the tail of the profile of the upper plane is located above the point of maximum thickness of the profile of the lower plane.

EFFECT: invention has a simpler design with lower weight and cost at the same high aerodynamic and flight characteristics.
