FIELD: lifting and hoisting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting mechanisms and can be used for lifting and mounting of bulky cargoes. Traverse for lifting and mounting large-size cylindrical shells includes a lower ring, to which a lifted shell is attached, and an upper ring connected to it by braces on a crane hook. Upper ring is made in the form of two rings of different diameters, which are structurally connected to each other and located in different parallel planes, namely the large upper ring and the lower small upper ring. Along the circumferences of the large and small upper rings and along the circumference of the lower ring there are elements for attachment of braces to them. Same number of these elements is installed on the large and small upper rings, and on the lower ring – double number of these elements. Attachment points of the braces connecting the small upper and lower rings on the lower ring are displaced in the plan counterclockwise relative to the points of attachment of these braces to the small upper ring in the plan.
EFFECT: preservation of shape and reliability of design of large-size thin-walled cylindrical shells during their lifting for further movement and final installation and mounting at the design place.
