FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to restoration of white balance on an image. According to the method of restoring white balance on an image, a computing device obtains an image to be restored to white balance and performs restoring the white balance on said image using a colour constancy model to restore the white balance on the image, which is obtained in such a way that provide the presence of original images, each of which contains a colour target; selecting a colour target mask in each original image by segmentation thereof using a neural network and obtaining information on colours of the colour target of the original image using the extracted colour target mask; colour conversion model is trained to obtain reconstructed canonical images, the training data for which contain the obtained information on the colours of the colour target of the original image and information on the canonical colours of the colour target; colour constancy model is trained.
EFFECT: invention improves the quality of displaying colours on an image.
