FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat treatment of forgings and castings from “4Х5МФ1С” carbide grade steel and can be used in making die tools of higher heat resistance under physical and mechanical effects for piercing and transverse-helical rolling of parts to obtain optimum combination of strength, plastic and operational characteristics. Method involves quenching after annealing with heating in a furnace with a controlled atmosphere at temperature of 680-700 °C with holding for 1-2 hours, then heated to temperature of 1025-1035 °C, held in furnace for 1-2 hours with cooling into oil, then cooled in air to ambient temperature, wherein primary thermal tempering is carried out at temperature of 545-555 °C with holding for 2-3 hours, then cooled to ambient temperature.
EFFECT: possibility of using die steel of carbide class of grade “4Х5МФ1С” as structural steel with high strength and ductility, required heat resistance and high impact strength due to obtaining of required microstructure.
