SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to drying equipment, and can be used in agricultural establishments engaged in selection and seed-growing activities. Method includes loading seeds into a drying chamber, blowing them with a heat carrier in several heating stages, cyclic exchange of the heat carrier with ambient air during all drying stages, seeds cooling, unloading, cleaning of drying chamber from randomly remained in it seeds, at the same time at the first drying stage the seeds are blown with a heat carrier with temperature of 35±2 °C until seeds temperature reaches 26-28 °C, at the second stage – heat carrier with temperature of 42±2 °C until seeds temperature reaches 32-34 °C, at the third stage – with a heat carrier with temperature of 50±2 °C until seeds temperature reaches 40-42 °C, and cyclic exchange of heat carrier with ambient air is carried out by ventilation of seeds with ambient air for 10 minutes after every 50 minutes of seeds blowing with heat carrier, starting after first 120 minutes of blowing seeds with a heat carrier at the first drying stage and until the end of their blowing with a heat carrier at the third stage.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to carry out drying of selection sunflower seeds with smooth removal of moisture without overheating and their injury.
