FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerodynamics and can be used in aircraft engineering, for example, in designs of a transformable bearing surface of adaptive wings, which provides a given smooth change in its geometry. Flexible wing with variable bending comprises carcass formed by stiff and resilient elements, covered with resiliently deformable elastic shell. Shell is flexible and consists of a multilayer highly elastic polymer material from a carbon fibre composite, where polyurethane rubber is used as a matrix, and a bundle of unidirectional carbon fibre having diameter of 7×10-3 mm is used as a reinforcement.
EFFECT: creation of new adaptive reconfigurable controlled structure of wing, which provides smooth change of spatial configuration and is characterized by increased reliability of operation.
