FIELD: water reservoirs.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water reservoirs, having in cross section curvilinear (mainly rectangular) contour and made by welding two rigid composite box metal parts, which are characterized by the presence of at least one metal tie of opposite walls of the water reservoir to limit the convex deformations of these walls when the water reservoir is filled with water. Metal water reservoir contains metal tie 5, which is made in the form of horizontally located tape. Plane of the tape is oriented vertically. At the ends of the tape is made with bends forming end transverse flanges 6 and 7, which are oriented in one direction relative to the plane of tie 5 tape. Each end transverse flange is made in the form of a segment as a part of a circle formed by chord 11 and arc 12. Chord 11 is the line of said bend. In turn, tie 5 is located with a horizontal displacement relative to the conditional vertical plane 10 dividing opposite walls 1 and 3 of the water reservoir in half by the value δ equal to or greater than the height h of the segment of any end transverse flange 6 and 7. Besides, each end transverse flange 6 and 7 is oriented towards this conditional plane 10 and is welded to corresponding wall 1 and 3, besides, it is welded only along arc 12 of this flange segment.
EFFECT: creation of a metal water reservoir with at least one metal tie of its opposite walls, limiting the convex deformation of these walls from the weight of water filling the water reservoir, which has a simpler design and manufacturing technology due to exclusion of vertical spars from its design and attachment of tie ends by means of welding directly to inner surfaces of said opposite walls of the water reservoir without critical reduction of strength of this attachment.
