FIELD: medicine; pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and pharmacy, and concerns a therapeutic composition used for treating traumatic injuries of the oral mucosa. Disclosed composition in the form of a dental gel contains chamazulene obtained from yarrow herb with purity of 97%, and auxiliary substances: hydroxyethyl cellulose, glycerine, tween-80, potassium sorbate, purified water, at the following ratio, wt.%: chamazulene – 0.5; hydroxyethyl cellulose – 2.0; glycerine – 5.0; tween-80 – 0.5; potassium sorbate – 0.2%; purified water – balance. Composition has wound healing action on the oral mucosa with no irritant action.

EFFECT: use of chamazulene as the only active ingredient enables to avoid fluctuations in its content compared to whole essential oil of yarrow, perform more accurate standardization of the dosage form and guarantee reproducibility of the therapeutic effect regardless of the batch of the preparation.
