SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video encoding/decoding using mutual prediction. Disclosed is a method of decoding video data, which comprises configuring a list of candidate vectors of a block of a current block to which an IBC-based prediction mode is applied, wherein the IBC mode refers to another block in the current frame, and generating a forecast sample of the current block based on the block vector included in the list of possible versions of the block vectors. Configuring a list of candidate vectors of a block comprises configuring a list of candidate vectors of a block from a spatial neighbouring block to which the IBC prediction mode is applied, and modifying the candidate vector list of the block based on the candidate history-based motion vector (HVMP) to which the IBC prediction mode is applied, when the number of current possible variants from the list of possible variants of the block vectors is less than the maximum number of possible variants.

EFFECT: providing video data processing to create a list of possible combination options or a motion vector prediction option in prediction mode (prediction) based on current picture referencing (CPR) or based on intra-block copying (IBC).
