FIELD: video encoding means.

SUBSTANCE: prediction mode for the current block in the current frame is extracted as a prediction mode based on intra-block coding (IBC). Flag information is generated for the IBC prediction mode. A list of possible versions for the IBC prediction mode is extracted, which includes possible versions of block vectors for the reference block in the current frame. Index information is generated for the block vector of the current block based on the list of possible versions for the IBC prediction mode. Residual information is generated for residual samples of the current block. Image information including flag information, index information and residual information is encoded. Image information contains information on the maximum number of possible versions of block vectors included in the list of possible versions for the IBC prediction mode, and information on the maximum number of possible versions of motion vectors included in the list of possible versions for the mutual prediction mode, different from said information on the maximum number of possible versions of block vectors.

EFFECT: high efficiency of video encoding.
