FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for production of wire gauze. Machine contains a frame, a multi-electrode welding unit for spot welding with a transformer unit and with one-row lower electrodes and movable upper electrodes, unit of thyristors for supply of welding current, unit for supply of longitudinal rods and unit for supply of transverse rods, made from condition of formation of flat wire gauze, and control unit. Frame consists of a base, posts and a support beam, and is configured to accommodate said welding unit, a unit for feeding transverse bars and a unit for feeding longitudinal bars. Proposed machine comprises intake table with pull frame with gripping elements. Invention covers design peculiarities of welding unit, crosswise rods feed assembly, crosswise rod feed mechanism and crosswise rod retainer in welding zone, as well as interconnection of said machine elements.

EFFECT: reliability of the machine and the quality of the produced mesh are increased, and the possibility of reconfiguring the machine to produce meshes with different cell sizes is ensured.
