FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used at automatic transfer lines for contact point welding of car body elements. Proposed device consists of case 1 with supports 2, built-in transformer 3 and moving carriage 4. The latter supports electric holder 10 with moving and fixed electrodes 15 and 16, power hydraulic cylinder 11 and equalising two-piston pneumatic cylinder 17. Booster pressure is fed continuously in one head end 18 of pneumatic cylinder 17 while two reduced equalising pressures are fed in turn into another head end 19 depending upon gun spatial position. Coolant supply to said gun is changed to allow efficient cooling of the gun current conducting elements: there are extra coolant orifice 33 and channel 34 to communicate the latter with orifice 32, and position of orifice 35 feeding coolant to moving electrode 16 is changed.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability, expanded operating performances.
