FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire-fighting technologies, and namely to the method of aircraft extinguishing of large fires, which includes delivery of extinguishing liquid in containers, which are flexible waterproof shells, to the fire zone. Shells filled with fire extinguishing liquid form containers having a shape close to a ball, with internal volume from 0.010 to 0.065 m3 and strength, which allows to maintain tightness of containers during their machine loading and during free fall from the aircraft to the ground. Reservoirs are made with possibility of being destroyed when falling from height of 30 m and more from impact on solid bodies on the ground. Reservoirs with fire-extinguishing liquid are specifically dropped into the combustion centre; when the reservoirs fall on solid bodies, the flexible shells are destroyed, the extinguishing liquid is splashed onto the surrounding burning materials and their extinguishing. Empty containers are pre-filled with the extinguishing liquid at the filling station and stored; containers with extinguishing liquid are loaded into aircraft before departure into fire zone; material for flexible waterproof shells can be kraft paper and plastic biopolymer PLA.

EFFECT: increased safety and efficiency of measures for extinguishing large fires in forest and residential areas, reduced time of extinguishing with saving of material and labour resources.
