SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pulsed photometry and relates to a device for detecting pulsed optical signals with strong background illumination. Device contains a solar battery used as a photodetector, in the output current of which an alternating component is selected, an amplifier and a millivoltmeter. On the photosensitive surface of the solar battery, a device is additionally installed, which limits the field of view of the solar battery to a value corresponding to the value of the solid angle of the source of pulsed optical signals.

EFFECT: high signal-to-noise ratio when using solar batteries to detect weak optical signals under conditions of strong background illumination.
