FIELD: optical communication; registration of pulsed optical signals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for recording light pulse signals under conditions of strong background illumination. The method consists in sending a pulsed optical signal to a photodetector, which is a solar battery, and converting it into an electric current. In the output current of the solar battery, an alternating component is isolated, which is sent to the recorder of pulsed optical signals. At the same time, an increase in the signal-to-noise ratio under conditions of strong background illumination is provided by increasing the area of the light-sensitive surface of the solar battery.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of registering weak pulsed optical signals in conditions of strong background illumination, while maintaining performance under direct solar radiation.
