FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of weather-resistant steel used for production of high-efficiency industrial chains. Steel contains following chemical elements, wt.%: C: 0.22-0.33, Si: 0.1-1.0, Mn: 0.3-1.5, Cr: 0.2-1.6, Ni: 2.2-3.8, Mo: 0.1-0.7, Cu: 0.02-0.3, Al: 0.01-0.045, V: 0.01-0.25, N≤0.013, if necessary 0<Nb≤0.04% and/or 0<Ti≤0.03, balance is Fe and unavoidable impurities. Content of elements in steel satisfies the following ratio: 2.5≤(12×C+0.3×Mn+Ni)/(Cr+2Mo+2Si)≤3.2, where the symbol of the chemical element in the formula is the numerical value of the weight percentage of the corresponding chemical element. Steel has a mixed microstructure including tempered martensite + tempered bainite + inter-rack carbides diffusely distributed between the layers of the martensite structure.
EFFECT: steel has the required values of strength, viscosity, ductility and resistance to atmospheric actions.
