FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: film includes a) a polymer film having one or more layers, where at least one of the layers contains one or more UV stabilizers; and b) a coating on at least one outer surface of the polymer film, wherein the coating comprises at least one layer containing the polymer such that the film has oxygen permeability of less than 500 ml/m2/bar/day at temperature of 23 °C and relative humidity of 0%, measured in accordance with EN ISO 15105-2. Each coating layer is formed by application of a solution with formation of a layer and drying of this layer. Application of coating on at least one outer surface of polymer film, wherein coating comprises at least one layer containing polymer, wherein each coating layer is formed by applying a solution to form a layer and drying this layer. Polymer film comprises one or more layers, where at least one layer contains one or more UV stabilizers, to reduce the tendency of the polymer film to photodegradation in the presence of agrochemicals; and/or reducing the permeability of the polymer film for gas and/or water vapor. Agricultural structure, at least part of which is covered with film. Method involves coating at least a part of an agricultural structure with a film. Method of making a film for coating agricultural structures includes: i) obtaining a polymer film comprising one or more layers, where at least one of the layers contains one or more UV stabilizers; and ii) coating at least one outer surface of the polymer film, where the coating contains at least one layer containing a polymer, so that the film has oxygen permeability of less than 500 ml/m2/bar/day at temperature of 23 °C and relative humidity 0 %, measured in accordance with EN ISO 15105-2. Each coating layer is formed by application of a solution with formation of a layer and drying of this layer.

EFFECT: inventions enable to obtain films having low susceptibility to photodegradation in the presence of agrochemicals and good barrier properties with respect to oxygen, while maintaining excellent mechanical properties and suitability for processing.
