The material has at least one organic solar protection filter UV-A having maximum absorption wavelength of 370 nm, at least one metal alkoxy compound selected from zirconium, titanium and aluminum alkoxy compounds, at least one functionalized organic polymer or predecessor of such polymer or at least one functionalized organosilicon polymer or predecessor of such polymer, at least one solvent and water in the amount enough for making partial or complete metal alkoxy compound hydrolysis and its condensation. Method involves displacing organic solar protection filter UV-A maximum absorption wavelength (λmax) to 370- 400 nm bandwidth from one having (λmax) less than 370 nm. Cosmetic preparation and/or dermatological composition for protecting skin and/or keratin materials has material disclosed in the present invention.
