SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for determining lento-capillary point (LCP) of a soil sample, in which a soil sample is placed in a Schott funnel on the inner surface of a glass filter, soil sample is saturated with water until a capillary bond is created between all soil particles and the glass filter of the Schott funnel, wherein drying of the soil sample is carried out by exposing the soil sample to a vacuum, which draws mobile water from the soil sample, which interacts with air and forms bubbles on the outer surface of the glass filter, the moment of the end of formation of bubbles is recorded, after which the vacuum is stopped and the moisture of the dried soil sample corresponding to the LCP is determined.
EFFECT: invention enables fast extraction of mobile water from a soil sample.
