FIELD: light-sensitive materials. SUBSTANCE: method is accomplished by adding ethylene glycol glycidyl ethers to finished emulsion and is distinguished by supplementing emulsion with ethylene glycol monoglycidyl monopropylenechlorohydrin diether at molar ratio of the two ethers from 3:1 to 1: 5, respectively. To 1 kg of gelatin, 0.05-0.5 mole of ether mixture is added. EFFECT: improved physico- chemical properties of tanned layers.
