FIELD: light-sensitive materials. SUBSTANCE: method is distinguished by adding, as tanners, compounds with general formula X-(CH=CH)n-X, where X is CHO or CH(OC2H5)2 group, and n=2 or 3, in amounts 0.005 to 0.4 mole per 1 kg of air-dry gelatin. EFFECT: improved physico-mechanical properties of tanned layers.
