FIELD: sulfur production. SUBSTANCE: in a method including opening sulfur deposit with boreholes, melting sulfur by feeding heat carrier into bed, dissolving sulfur by feeding solvent into bed, and pumping off molten sulfur, distinguishing feature consists in that solvent - 15-40% potassium or sodium hydroxide aqueous solution is fed immediately after pumping off molten out sulfur and dissolution process is carried out at 60-85 C. EFFECT: increased sulfur production.
