FIELD: luminescence defectoscopy. SUBSTANCE: penetration agent comprises 1,8-naphtoylene--benzimidazole, wetting agent and solvent together with liquid paraffin (which represents mixture of alkanes of C9 - H22-fraction); wherein polyethylene glycol ethers of fatty alcohols of C10 - C18-fraction is used as wetting agent and benzylbenzoate being used as solvent. Penetration agent comprises, mas.%: 1,8-naphtoylene--benzimidazole, 1.1-1.3; polyethylene glycol ethers of fatty alcohols of C10 - C18-fraction, 5.0-7.0; liquid paraffin, 16.0-24.0; benzylbenzoate, the balance. EFFECT: improved intensity and reliability of detecting defects having opening less than 1 μm on metal surfaces to be controlled.
