FIELD: heavy-current electronics. SUBSTANCE: pulse source of electrons can find use also in fields of equipment related to use of electron beams. It has capacitor 1 with capacitance C1 of primary circuit of Tesla transformer, commutator 2, plasma cathode and anode 11. Expanded functional capabilities of pulse source of electrons are achieved thanks to increase of range of control of beam current. It is attained by insertion of current interrupter 3 and discharger 6 into source. Windings 4 and 5 of Tesla transformer are disc ones, they are placed in axial symmetry with respect to each other. Plasma cathode is manufactured in the form of strip line. Winding 5 separated from electrode 7 with dielectric filling 8 is used as one of electrodes of line. Description of invention gives mathematical expressions for determination of eigenfrequency of circuits of Tesla transformer with which aid agreement of parameters of primary and secondary windings of Tesla transformer is obtained.
