FIELD: well drilling. SUBSTANCE: drill bit cone has body with teeth 2 and tooth spaces 3. The latter are widened and deepened in direction of one or both ends of teeth 2. Body has sockets 4 adjacent to tooth spaces 3 and having volume equalling 0.06-3 volumes of adjacent tooth space 3. Ration of maximum area of tooth space 3 to minimum area of cross-section is 1.08-10. When drill bit cone moves on well bottom, concentration of cuttings in tooth spaces is increased due to cutting of rock by teeth 2. This is accompanied by cutting compression and their displacement from tooth spaces 3 in direction of increasing area of their cross-section. This results in reduction of compression force of cutting to prevent pressing-in cuttings in tooth spaces 3 and decreased partially bit axial load. EFFECT: higher efficiency of drilling due to reduced force compressing cuttings in tooth space 3 and prevention of pressing of cuttings into tooth spaces. 2 dwg
