FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has technological capacitance 1 inside of which discharge 2 and additional loading 3 chambers are placed. The chambers are formed by horizontal plates 4 in which holes are made forming in a set inner cavity 7 of discharge chamber 2 and inner cavity 8 of loading chamber 3, correspondingly. Holes 6 are made narrowing downwards forming slanted surface 9 along which large pieces of the starting material with high strength and abrasive characteristics roll down into the working area of discharge chamber 2 in which positive electrode 10 is mounted. The upper part of the device bottom comprises horizontal plates 11 with holes 12 whose size is more than the sum of inner diameters of holes 5 and 6. The lower part of the bottom is made up of vertical plates 13 in which slots 14 are made. The gaps between plates 4, 11, 13 serving as a negative electrode as well are regulated with the aid of paddings 15. In the upper part of discharge chamber 2 loading branch pipe 17 is located. Small pieces of the material with low abrasive and strength characteristics can be loaded through it. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation and expanded technological opportunities. 3 dwg
