FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: anchor chains (11, 12; 13, 14; 15, 16; 17,18) secured on opposite sides of installation are located in such position that their projections on horizontal plane are at relative bearing of 180 deg; strain is taken from these chains by simultaneously loading them by similar forces; vertical and horizontal coordinates of anchor position of each of above-mention chains are determined; then curvature of sagging of each anchor chain corresponding to design magnitude is set by veering out and heaving in chains; horizontal displacement of floating installation is determined by stiffness characteristics of these chains. EFFECT: high accuracy of determination of horizontal displacement of installation in stabilization. 4 dwg
