FIELD: accelerators. SUBSTANCE: device has struts 1, yokes 2, central insertions 3, poles each of which has central part 4 and ledges 5 and 6. Poles are mounted in slots of yoke 2. Space 10 is provided between end surfaces 8 of ledge 6 and surface 9 of yoke 2. Fabric laminate gaskets are located in space 10 in order to achieve mechanical strength. Ledges 5 and 6 are mounted in alternating order. Their alternation depends on their number N and number of ledges 5. It conforms to equation , where rs and re are radiuses of central and external pole parts respectively, bl is half of width of inter-pole space at central radius. Device may be used in design of induction accelerators with azimuth variation of control magnetic field. EFFECT: increased output radiation due to increased focusing force of magnetic field. 4 dwg
