FIELD: nondestructive testing. SUBSTANCE: in compliance with process of ultrasonic quality inspection of articles pulses of ultrasonic oscillations are excited in article, series of echo pulses reflected from opposite surface of article is received, envelope of series of echo pulses and number of pulses in this series are measured, ultrasonic converter is rotated about its axis. Change of envelope and series of echo pulses with smallest number of pulses are recorded. By change of envelope of series of echo pulses presence of internal mechanical tensions is determined and by value inverse to number of pulse with minimal amplitude relative value of internal mechanical tensions in article is found. EFFECT: expanded informativity of inspection thanks to measurement of relative internal mechanical tensions. 2 dwg
