FIELD: measuring technique. SUBSTANCE: method consists in use of two regimes of registration. When rate of band shift exceeds first threshold level V₁, modulation of interference order with period T_m is disengaged, and when rate of shift of bands reduces down to second threshold level V₂, modulation is engaged. In this case 0<V₂<V₁<0,33T_m. During registration, shifting bands are transformed into pulse train, their number is determined, and value of change of interference order P is determined by formula given in invention description. EFFECT: higher speed of registration and improved accuracy of measurement. 4 dwg
