FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: water soluble salt of copper in the amount of 0.1-0.3 per cent by mass in terms of copper is used as activating additive. Sintering is performed at 730-770 C in inert atmosphere. Testing for erosion stability and density of contacts made from composition of silver-cadmium oxide 15 m having particle size 1-5 ± sintered with activating additive of copper formiate (0.15% of copper) conducted at temperature 7509,95 g/cm320 C for the course of 1 h in nitrogen atmosphere demonstrated density 9.95 g/sq.cm, specific decrease of contact mass 10-8 g/discharge. EFFECT: increased density and erosion stability of contacts. 1 tbl
