FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes installing drift support and end sections of long- wall support provided with floor. In the area of interconnections, the end sections are installed subsequently after the sections of drift support so as to place their floors over drift support floors. Before getting subsequent coal band drift support is moved by a distance equal to double width of the coal band being got and over- the-drift coal bench is get for a width of coal band being got. Then under-the-drift coal bench is unfastened for the width of the following coal band and a cut with coal cutter- loader is made for new coal band. Back screens of the drift support become lowered or involved in as operating member of the coal cutter-loader approaches drift support sections. Then end sections of the long wall support are moved for double width of coal band being got to install their floors over ends of drift support floors. EFFECT: improved reliability. 15 dwg
