FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed mixture has bis-arene compound of chrome and tin tetraalkyl, lead or germanium at ratio 1:(0.01-0.15). Precipitation process is carried out under vacuum at 200-300 C in backing. Addition of metal tetraalkyl to the composition of steam-gaseous mixture provides preparing of speculum coating on the chrome-base at the rate more than 0.4 micron/min, microhardness is 1000-1300 kg/mm2, adhesion to the base is (2,5-3,0)·107 H/m2, content of coprecipitating metal 1-8%, rate of dissolution in 12 N hydrochloric and sulfuric acids less than 0,003 mg/cm2·h. h.
