FIELD: gas industry; creation of underground gas storage in depleted multilayer deposits. SUBSTANCE: wells are drilled in depleted gas bearing stratum. Some of wells are deepened to lower depleted gas bearing stratum and then both horizons are perforated. Remaining gases from lower horizons are passed into upper horizons, thus forming cushion gas volumes in upper horizon. Passing of gases is effected owing by transferring of gas from high-pressure areas of lower depleted gas bearing stratums into upper low-pressure area to level the pressure in all horizons of underground gas storage. Cushion gas volumes are formed simultaneously with drilling of development wells. With gases passed by, lower horizon is isolated. EFFECT: reduced capital and power expenditures and time required for creating underground gas storage in multilayer deposits. 2 cl, 2 dwg
