FIELD: lubricants. SUBSTANCE: composition has the fol- lowing components, wt. -% : cis-butadiene rubber 15-25; sulfur 1.5-4; 2-mercaptobenzthiazole 0.3-0.8; tetramethyluramdisulfide 0.1-0.2; asbestos 5-47.5; barite 9-48.1; technical carbon 9-20, and slag pumice 5-40. Use of proposed composition ensures to decrease article wear from 0.12 to 0.05 mm and to retain high friction properties in the case of water entry at the friction zone (friction coefficient is about 0.16-0.25). Enhanced quality of composition is provided by use of slag pumice. EFFECT: enhanced quality of composition. 2 tbl
