FIELD: friction materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to friction-destination asbestos-free polymer compositions and can be used in mechanical engineering, in particular in manufacturing of brake blocks for rail-way rolling-stock. Composition contains rubber, sulfur-based vulcanization mix, fibrous filler (polyoxadiazole fiber/mineral wool mixture), metal-containing filler (broken cast iron pellets), friction modifier (mixture of crystalline graphite, cryptocrystalline graphite, and carbon black), inorganic modifier (barite concentrate/alumina/zeolite mixture).
EFFECT: stabilized coefficient of friction, reduced release of harmful substances (in particular, phenol) during manufacturing procedure, and reduced cost of produce.
