FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method provides for charging of scrap, pig-iron pouring in, addition of slag-forming materials, oxygen blowing in by two periods with intermediate flushing of slag, tapping of metal, leaving final slag in converter. First period blow is terminated after consumption of 2,5 - 3.0 m3 of oxygen per 1 kg of pig-iron phosphorus. EFFECT: decrease of pig-iron consumption and increase of lining durability. 1 tbl
