FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: press mold has the base 1 for placing the mandrel 2 and the blank 12. The flange 4 of the elastic envelope 3 is being fastened with use of the mounting ring 7. The rigid hood 5 is being mounted. Then a cavity between the hood 5 and the elastic envelope 3 is being evacuated in such a way, that the envelope 3 is being forced to an inner surface of the hood 5 for opening the hole 9 in the base 1. A cavity of the envelope is being evacuated through the hole 9. A necessary evacuation degree had been achieved in the envelope 3, the hole 9 is being joined with the atmosphere and the envelope 3 is being pressed towards the blank and the base 1. Then the hood 5 is being removed, and the flange of the envelope is being fastened with use of a second mounting ring, having an inner diameter less, than a diameter of the ring 7, in order to cut off the hole 9 from the inner cavity of the envelope 3. The pipeline 14 is being disconnected and a press mold is being placed into a hydrostat. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of press mold operation. 1 cl, 3 dwg
