SUBSTANCE: helicopter consists of fuselage 1, tail 2 with control surfaces 3, main rotor 4, hollow tail boom 5 with fan 6 secured to boom 5 by walls 7 and 8 of air intake. Tail boom 5 and fuselage 1 are separated by hermetic partition 9. At least one longitudinal profiled slot is provided in lower portion of tail boom 5. Walls 7 and 8 of air intake form chamber behind fan 6 together with its central body and wall of inlet passage connected with chamber behind fan inside boom 5. Inlet passage embracing fan 6 is not closed in cross section and comes to surfaces in end portion of tail boom 5. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of helicopter directional control. 4 dwg
