FIELD: mechanical engineerings. SUBSTANCE: the reference cylindrical zones provided on tools 3 and 4 correspond in diameter to the cylindrical portions of holes of connecting rod 1. Cramping of connecting rod 1 is preceded by inserting the above mentioned zones into the corresponding holes and moving them vertically towards the chamfer of the edge of the corresponding holes. When doing this, tools 3 and 4 are pressed by the external edges of their cylindrical zones against surfaces of cylindrical portions 28 and 6. Tools 3 and 4 are turned via connecting rod 1, thereby orienting them relative to the edge of hole 2 being processed and to cylindrical portions 6 and 28. Connecting rod 1 is compressed till the cylindrical zones are in contact with portions 6 and 28. EFFECT: higher quality of articles thanks to orienting tool before machining, extended technological capabilities, compensation during processing of considerable misalignment of edges being processed. 4 dwg
