FIELD: radio electronics, piezoelectronics. SUBSTANCE: quartz resonator-thermostat has crystalline element 1 of SG cut in the form of rectangle which length is oriented to crystallographic axis X' at angle selected within limits from -15 up to +15 deg and relation of sides of crystalline element is chosen within bounds 1,7-2.3. Exciting electrodes 2 are deposited on to central parts of basic surfaces of crystalline element 1, film resistive heaters 3 are applied on to peripheral part of one of surfaces. Temperature transducer 5 is also applied there. Both of them are provided with leads-out to connected to unit of thermal control. Invention makes it possible to diminish considerably effect of temperature mechanical stresses emerging in crystalline element 1 at moment of heating on frequency of quartz resonator-thermostat as well as under stationary mode with change of ambient temperature. Temperature instability of frequency and time of frequency setting after switching on are decreased several times. Quartz-resonator-thermostat can be used in the capacity of frequency-setting element in high-stability quartz generators. EFFECT: enhanced functional efficiency and stability of quartz resonator- thermostat. 1 dwg
