STAND FOR ASSEMBLING BUNDLE OF FUEL ELEMENTS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: stand includes mounted on a frame a feeder with shelves for placing fuel elements and with a mechanism for pushing in, having a drive car with a pusher, guiding roller-type supports and removable technological caps with sizing cones, and a rotary casing for mounting and positioning a framework with spacing and limiting grids. The pusher is in the form of rods, arranged in a horizontal plane and placed into mutually joined by a passage cylindrical seats of fastening traverse bar, secured to the drive car of the mechanism for pushing in. The stand is provided by an automatic operator for removing the technological caps, mounted on the frame in a zone between a terminal spacing grid and the limiting grid of the framework, and by an apparatus for feeding and spacing fuel elements, having a fuel element accumulator with ramp shelves, inclined towards the feeder, a drive rotary shaft, on which cross toothed clamping members are mounted, an a lifter, arranged under the shelves of the feeder and having prismatic rollers. The shelves of the feeder are provided by two-arm splitters; an upper row of rollers is stationary one. The automatic operator for removing the technological caps has movable in radial direction towards axis of fuel elements tail spindles with spring-loaded clamps. The tail spindles are arranged in their housings, mounted on the drive carriage, arranged on the frame at both sides of the framework with possibility of motion along the axis of the fuel elements. Fingers are secured to generatrices of the tail spindles. The fingers, engaging with longitudinal grooves of housings of the tail spindles, are provided at an opposite side by rollers, engaging with the stationary formers, secured to the frame.
