FIELD: plastic working of sheet products in mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying current pulses to plastic deformation site, with specific pulse power value being within the range providing complete disintegration of billet material; supplying first current pulse at the moment corresponding to displacement of tool for a value hi=(0.7-0.8) hd, where hd is displacement of tool during stamping without introducing current pulses, which corresponds to initiation of destruction of billet or loss of stability; supplying subsequent current pulses at the moment of subsequent displacement of tool for a value hi. The number of current pulses is Ni=(hε/hi)-1, where hi is tool displacement value required for part stamping. EFFECT: increased quality of product and wider operational capabilities. 1 tbl
