FIELD: explosives. SUBSTANCE: emulsion explosive composition has, wt. -%: sodium nitrate 4-20 or calcium nitrate 6-20; water 6-20; industrial oil or masut 3-9; glycerol or pentaerythritol ester of oleic acid or tall fatty acid C₁₁-C₂₄ 0.5-3.0; sodium nitrite 0.1-0.5, and ammonium nitrate - the rest up to 100%. Properties of composition: density is 1.04-1.27 g/cm³, water-proofing is 0.1-0.4%, critical diameter is 18-30 mm, detonation rate is 3.9-4.3 km/s, composition shows sensitivity to pulse pentaerythritol tall N 8.
