FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: match has stem, whose end is provided with channel or hole filled with ignitable substance. Method involves cutting veneer sheet into stems; applying ignitable substance to form inflammable head. Prior to cutting veneer sheet into stems, hole is made in veneer sheet by cutting longitudinal channel. Ignitable substance is applied by introducing it into channel. EFFECT: reduced consumption of ignitable substance, improved operational characteristics of matches, minimized damage to inflammable head in the process of storage and ignition, simplified manufacture process. 3 cl, 3 dwg
