FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in supply of controlling action to input of drive, in electrical breaking of stepping, in comparison of specified controlled parameter with its present value and in change of current of controlled power supply source in compliance with comparison result. In this case search phase action is fed to input, response to it is measured across output of drive. Signal containing information on misalignment angle is extracted, is converted into digital code, is compared with program-specified value and their difference is converted into correction signal which is added to program-specified controlling action. EFFECT: increased stability of operation of drive and minimization of its dynamic error with stochastic changes of load owing to use of misalignment angle of fields of stator and rotor of stepping motor in the capacity of controlled parameter. 2 cl, 4 dwg
