FIELD: mechanical milking. SUBSTANCE: teat cup comprises body 1 accommodating teat tube 2 and milk tube 3. Outer walls 4 of teat tube 2 are shaped as a truncated cone whose smaller base faces upward. Inner walls 5 of teat tube 2 are also shaped as truncated cone whose smaller base faces down. Teat tube 2 compresses teat 9 from top down on the principle of a travelling pressure wave.
