FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention makes it possible to raise efficiency of formation of underground reservoirs in rocks of various strength having low penetrability. Cost of reservoir having space of 30,000-50,000 sq.m in this case diminishes by 25-40% as a minimum as compared with traditional methods. Time of its formation reduces by 20-25% as a minimum. For formation of underground reservoir hole is drilled, is fixed with strings of pipes and steam-and-gas mixture with 3-12% fraction of gas in total mass and temperature (Tseam+150°)<Tcr is supplied in turn into face, where Tseam is seam temperature, C; Tcr= 373 °C is critical temperature of water steam and fluid. Steam-and-gas mixture is supplied until removal of broken rock is stopped and pressure 0.05 σtens<P≅Ps.g.m is created in reservoir, where σtens is tensile strength of rocks; Ps.g.m is pressure of supplied steam-and-gas mixture. After this fluid is pumped into reservoir until start or removal of broken rocks. Steam-and-gas mixture supplied into reservoir has constantly rising temperature.
